Your Cosmetic Goals
Of course, the most important thing about your smile makeover is your cosmetic goals. You have to know what you hope to achieve with the procedure before you can start planning.
There are two main ways people plan their cosmetic goals. First, you might focus on the things you don’t like about your current smile and make a list of all the changes you want to make. If you do this, it’s a good idea to prioritize your list with “must-haves” and “nice-to-haves” so that you can easily make decisions if factors such as timing or budget mean you can’t do everything you want.
Other times, people find it hard to talk about their smiles. It’s easier for them to choose a picture of a smile they love and make that their goal. While this can work, it’s not as good because your smile should harmonize with your whole facial appearance, and the smile picture you choose might have a different face shape and other properties that might make it not right for you. Still, it can serve as a starting point for discussion.
